How old do you need to be to learn lash extensions?

There is no specific minimum age to learn the skills of lash extensions and lash lifts. These are practical skills that can be learned by individuals of various ages.

However, there are some age-related limitations for working in the industry. To obtain an Australian Business Number (ABN), you must be at least 18 years old. In most states of Australia, you can start working at 15.

This means you can begin your training at 14, gain hands-on experience in a salon from age 15, and then, once you turn 18, you can start your own lash business. This approach allows you to build
your skills and prepare for a successful career in the lash industry.

Do I need bring in my own models for training?

While it is preferred to bring your own friend or family member as a model for training to ensure you feel more comfortable with a familiar face, we understand that it might not always be possible.

If you have difficulty finding a model, we can provide models for you for a small fee of $40 (per model).

Do I get a certificate after the course?

Yes, you will receive a certificate of completion at the end of your course. You will then be required to complete a set of quizes.

Is this course accredited?

“Nationally accredited” can be a misleading term, while accreditation can sound impressive, it doesn’t necessarily reflect the quality or depth of the course. Many nationally accredited programs offer only a basic overview, which may not provide the comprehensive training required for a successful career as a Lash Artist.

It’s important to focus on quality of the training you receive, rather than the course’s accreditation status. It’s important to choose a course that offers thorough, practical instruction to ensure you’re well-prepared for your career.
